  • Lisa is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Oregon, specializing in helping adults, couples, and groups navigate challenges in relationships and well-being. She believes that all thoughts, feelings, and behaviors make sense within the context of past experiences, and she works with patients to foster self-compassion and explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. 

    Lisa’s therapy approach is warm, dynamic, and rooted in social justice, with a commitment to anti-racist practice. She also integrates improvisation into her work and trains therapists in ethical social media use and group therapy practices.

Tess Garber (she/her)
LCSW, LGSW

  • Tess Garber is a licensed social worker in Virginia who works with individuals and groups, offering a holistic and evidence-based approach to therapy. She is dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel understood and empowered, tailoring her methods to each person’s unique needs. Tess specializes in supporting young adults and adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, substance use, body image, and life transitions. With experience in diverse settings—including the criminal justice system, outpatient substance use programs, and college mental health—she helps clients harness their strengths to navigate difficult life events. Trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Tess also incorporates CBT, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapies to foster growth and healing.
